Legendary actor of Hindi cinema, tragedy king Dilip Kumar has passed away. He breathed his last at the Hindu Hospital in Mumbai at the age of 98 at 7.30 am on Wednesday. He had been ill for the past days and was being admitted to the hospital again and again. He was admitted to the hospital for the second time in the last month. Every time his wife Saira Banu was with him and every time he appealed to the fans to wish for the good health of Dilip Sahab. Dilip Kumar was facing age-related health problems for the past few days and was admitted to the ICU of Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai on June 30.
Earlier, on June 6, Dilip Kumar was admitted to the hospital after suffering from breathing problems but the Medical treatment had continued. He had a problem filling his lungs with water. Then there was a minor surgery and five days later he was discharged.
Known as the ‘Tragedy King’ of Bollywood, the legendary actor has a career spanning over six decades. He had participated in more than 65 films in his career and has been known as ‘Devdas’ (1955), ‘Naya Daur’ (1957), ‘Mughal-e-Azam’ (1960), ‘Ganga Jamuna’ (1961), ‘Kranti’ ‘ (1981), and ‘Karma’ (1986) is known for his iconic roles. He participated at last in ‘Qila’ in 1998.
Dilip Kumar’s real name was Yusuf Khan. He was born and
nourished, in Nashik. Before becoming an actor, he used to run a sandwich stall in the Army Club. He later met Devika Rani, owner of Bombay Talkies, where he started working in the script department as a story writer. Dilip Kumar started his Bollywood journey in 1944 with the film Jwar Bhata. He starred in Jugnu in 1947 and it became his first big hit at the box office. The actor further went on to do films like Insaniyat, Devdas, Kohinoor, and Aan. He has also been an MP. Dilip Kumar is the first actor to take Rs 1 lakh per film in the 1950s.

Dilip also known as the Tragedy King, died early Wednesday morning, July 7, 2021. He was 98 years old right now.
News of his death was confirmed by a doctor who was treating him for his illness. The actor’s spokesperson, Faisal Farooqi later took to Twitter to made the formal news.
“I announce the death of our beloved Dilip Saab, who passed away a few minutes ago, with a heavy heart and tremendous grief.

The mortal remains of the late Dilip Kumar Saab will be laid to rest in a funeral ceremony at 5 PM today. A tweet from the actor’s formal address read, “Burial today at 5:00 PM. Juhu Qabrastan at Santacruz Mumbai.”
Kumar was admitted to the hospital some days before after he complained of breathlessness. This was the second time he was admitted owing to age-related illness.
